Charlton Park Stables, based on the beautiful Charlton Park Estate in Malmesbury, Wiltshire are offering a position for a Level 2 or 3 equine groom apprenticeship. The traditional stables are located within a stunning 18th Century courtyard, effortlessly combining many original features with modern horse care facilities. Located within 4500 acres of private parkland the yard offers a little escape from the real world and the perfect place for owners to enjoy their horse(s). The apprenticeship is a full time live in position at the full livery yard at Charlton Park Estate.The successful applicant will undertake all daily care of 18 horses as part of a team. This will include mucking out stables, grooming, leading horses etc.
Basic knowledge and common sense required but enthusiasm and commitment valued above all else! A contract will be provided with the usual HR compliance (payroll and pension scheme set-up). Apprenticeship wage offered for a 5-day week, 8am – 5.30pm working hours in a relaxed, friendly working environment with full training provided. Shared mobile home with the existing Charlton Park Stables apprentice with the option to bring own horse.
