Charlton Park Fly Fishing Syndicate
Three miles of double bank brown trout fishing at Brokenborough near Malmesbury, Wiltshire. The syndicate has been running in its current form since 1997, with approximately 20 members per year. The nature of the river itself is of natural stream fishing, with the benefits of many pools and shallow sections.
The river is full of native, wild brown trout and the syndicate offers a catch and release policy. The best of the fishing in the Spring, May and June are the best months.
The early fly life begins with hatches of winter olive and hawthorn fly. The first mayfly appearing in the second week of May, continuing until mid-July. The fishery also contains a large number of Caddisfly.
By special arrangement fishing can be arranged for individuals or small groups with professional instruction. Meals can be provided on the riverbank or in the local pub. A fantastic party day out or relaxing corporate hospitality at a reasonable price.

The mix of woodland and undulating ground across the Estate lends itself well to both game shooting and clay pigeon shooting.
The Charlton Park Shoot has over 20 drives offering a varied mix of birds and includes some challenging shots.
A typical shoot day starts a 9am in a local pub for coffee followed by typically three drives and a short break. The day continues with three or four further drives and ends back at the pub for a late lunch.
The main shoot days are 200 bird which gradually reduce to 125 bird days as the season progresses. Normal drives consist of eight guns but can accommodate a smaller number of guns depending on requirements; we can arrange for smaller bird days by arrangement.
Clay shooting days are provided on the Estate, either as an individual event or as part of a corporate entertainment day.
