Time to Renew Your Annual Horse Riding Permit

Annual Horse Riding Pass Scheme Renewals Due

To promote equestrianism and equestrian access for riders, approximately 20km of off-road riding routes in the countryside around Hankerton, Brokenborough and Charlton villages were first made available at the start of 2022. The routes span the 4,500 acres of the Estate, with suggested parking (to be used at the discretion of the permit holder) and has been well subscribed by the local equestrian community.

An annual permit is £120, with the fee remaining the same for 2023 and lasts from the date of issue to the 31st December of that year. Half-year passes may be offered later in 2023 at the discretion of the Estate Office, day passes are not available, and permits are per horse with up to 3 named riders.

The routes will change from summer to winter and may be closed or amended without prior notice but, where possible changes will be communicated in advance to permit holders. This will allow the Estate to tailor routes alongside seasonal events and allow works around the Estate to be carried safely. You can purchase your permit through our online shop by clicking here.
