Wild Food UK Launch New Course Dates

Enjoy Autumnal Foodie Foraging at Charlton Park Estate

We are delighted to announce a new activity provider to use Charlton Park Estate as a location. This Autumn we welcome Wild Food UK who will be running their popular Foraging Courses here in our arboretum and surrounding parkland. The Estate has a wide range of species both edible and poisonous in several locations that will provide a variety of identification opportunities throughout the year for avid foragers to enjoy learning about. Their first foraging course was held on the 23rd of September, and we look forward to welcoming their team back this month.

Wild Food UK said, “we’re extremely lucky in Britain to have a climate that provides us plenty of food all year round, all you need to know is how to find it. We teach these “skills for life”; and we believe that with the skills we teach, every life will be enhanced. Not only is foraging fun and interesting; you never know when being able to pick your own food might come in genuinely useful or even lifesaving!

“We like wild food. We forage it, cook it, dry it, prepare it, store it and eat it! Foraging for us started with a genuine love of the great outdoors and a passion for food, combining both turns our walks in the woods and by the seaside into genuine treasure hunts.”

Wild Food UK offer an abundance in information on their website about courses, foraging newsletter alerts, recipe ideas, guides, and products in their foraging shop from guide field books, kitchen accessories, seedballs, artistic prints and foraging belt bags.

Remaining dates for Autumn courses will be;
